General Track Rules & Information

These are the general rules for BIR, for rules specific to the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals, click here.

Track Radio/Announcer
BIR now has two radio frequencies to catch all the racing action.

• 105.3 FM for all drag racing and 3.1-mile road racing events

• 87.9 FM for all 2.5-mile road racing events

Spectator and participant re-entry

• All spectators and participants wishing to leave and re-enter BIR must have their admissions ticket scanned on their way out and again at re-entry. Failure to have your ticket scanned when exiting will void your ticket for re-entry.

Parking

• General spectator parking is free and located within the BIR infield, behind the grandstands for drag races and adjacent to most interior roadways for road racing.

Pets
• Pet owners must fill out a pet waiver prior to entering the facility. All pets must be kept on a leash at all times and must be attended to. We are a pet friendly track, please pick up after your pet.

Camping

• Basic overnight camping is free with multi-day admission ticket.

• Full-service campsites are available for $30/night (includes hook-ups for electrical, water & septic). Only one self-contained camping unit is allowed per full-service campsite.

• Loud music is not permitted after 10 p.m.

• All generators, air compressors, etc., that are powered by an internal combustion engine must have the exhaust directed up and above the top of the trailer, truck, RV, tent/awning, etc., and clear of other campers’ areas or racers’ pits.

• Generators must be turned off or muffled by 11 p.m.

• Campfires must stay in the fire rings provided by BIR. If there is no fire ring, the fire must not exceed 3 feet in diameter.

Vehicle Rules and Regulations for Pits, Paddock, and Campground

Motorized Vehicles:

All non-licensed motorized vehicles (any vehicle that doesn't have current state roadworthy licensing) will require an authorization sticker to operate on BIR grounds. A authorization ticket is available for sale at the front gate during events. Pricing is as follows:

2010 Season Ticket (excluding nationals) - $10.00 per year

2010 Nationals only Ticket - $40.00

To purchase a non-licensed vehicle ticket, an adult (a person 18 years old or older) with a valid drivers license must sign a release waiver and take full responsibility for that vehicle and any and all injuries/damages it causes.

The ticket is then redeemed for an individually numbered sticker to be placed on the front of the vehicle. Tickets can be redeemed for stickers by stopping by the Security station or by contacting any of our security guards and presenting the vehicle for inspection. (See vehicle guidelines below)
