PleasureLand RV Show & Go

Trans Am Series returns as Show & Go’s featured event

The 31st Annual PleasureLand RV Show & Go is a Fourth of July tradition for race fans, with a three-day schedule packed full of drag racing, road racing, a classic car show, fireworks, live music and more. The event is June 30-July 2.

TA1_WThis is the third year that the Trans Am Series presented by Pirellli will be Show & Go’s featured event, as cars will be on the 2.5-mile Competition Road Course Sunday afternoon for a pair of 100-mile, 40-lap races. Saturday’s schedule includes practice and qualifying sessions, and then the Ryan Companies Muscle Car Challenge for the TA2 class starts at 11 a.m. on Sunday. The second race – the Ryan Companies Independence Day Classic – starts at 2:30 p.m.

When the Trans Am Series isn’t on the road course, the  Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) will be. The SCCA schedule includes practice and qualifying sessions on Saturday, and then four 12-lap races on Sunday.

Over on the drag strip, the Show & Go features some phenomenal drag racing by the seven Heads-Up Classes that will be battling in the second race of the three-race Muscle Car Series. Fans will be treated to some serious horsepower that produces runs of 6-7 seconds and speeds over 200 mph. It’s intense drag racing that brings race fans back year after year.

Fuchs_wDrivers in the Muscle Car Series are competing for series points, prize money, and ultimately, a series championship. The race features the cars in Pro Outlaw, Outlaw, King Street, Real Street, True Street and the 660 Outlaw Street. The race will also highlight 10 Index classes, the winners of which have a separate run-off to crown the Index Class Champion. Three Strip Eliminator classes, Truck Eliminator and Manual Transmission class round out the race schedule. It’s a full weekend of racing, with qualifying that runs Friday and Saturday, and eliminations on Sunday.

The Show & Go wouldn’t be the same without a bunch of other activities off the track. Saturday’s schedule includes a Classic Car Show in front of the brick condos, a spectacular fireworks display and live music by Gel at The Wheelie Bar & Grille.

It’s three great racing events for the price of one!
