IWA Watercross skips into BIR for a Triple Event Weekend
The International Watercross Association (IWA) is bringing snowmobile watercross racing to BIR again this summer for two wet-and-wild weekends: June 11-12 and Sept. 24-25! This is crazy fun racing that you can’t miss. Lake BIR, the pond in the middle of BIR’s RV campground, will be transformed into a race track for snowmobiles as they race on open water. There will be oval racing as well as drag racing – all on open water!
Seven classes will race: Pro Open, Pro Stock, Semi Pro Open, Semi Pro Stock, Mod Drags, 800 Drags and 600 Drags.
The June 11-12 event is a triple-event weekend, with watercross on the lake, drag racing on the drag strip and Superbike racing on the 2.5-mile Competition Road Course. The Bracket Drag Racing Series is on the drag strip for its third racing weekend of the season, while the Central Roadracing Association is on the road course for three days of thrilling racing. It’s the second of five weekends the CRA is at BIR this season.
The Sept. 23-25 weekend is a dual-even weekend, with watercross on the lake and CRA Superbike Racing on the road course for its final racing weekend of the season at BIR.
Fans get all of that for a single ticket. Daily admission is $25.
