IWA Watercross brings 2 racing weekends to BIR
The International Watercross Association (IWA) is bringing snowmobile watercross racing to BIR for two weekends this summer! This is crazy fun racing that you can’t miss. Lake BIR, the pond in the middle of BIR’s full-service RV campground, will be transformed into a race track for snowmobiles as they race on open water. (Yes, you read that correctly.) There will be oval racing as well as drag racing – all on open water!
Seven classes will race: Pro Open, Pro Stock, Semi Pro Open, Semi Pro Stock, Mod Drags, 800 Drags and 600 Drags.
The first race is June 14-16 during a multi-event weekend at BIR that features CRA Superbike Racing on BIR’s 3.1 mile Donnybrooke Road Course and Simply Sport Bikes Freestyle motorcycle competition. All of this for a single ticket. Daily admission is $15.
The IWA’s second race is Sept. 13-15 during a dual-event weekend with CRA Superbike Racing that will feature CRA’s annual five-hour endurance racing.
