CRA Superbike Racing joins the mix for a 2-for-1 weekend

The 26th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Show & Go is a Fourth of July tradition for race fans, and this year will be no different. Scheduled for July 6-8, the 2012 edition of the Show & Go will be a Dual Event Weekend with CRA Superbike Racing on BIR's 13-turn, 2.5-mile Competition Road Course.

In addition to a classic car show, live music, fireworks, on-site camping and Superbike Racing, the Show & Go features some phenomenal drag racing by the "fast five" classes that will be battling in the second race of the three-race Muscle Car Series. Fans will be treated to some serious horsepower that produces runs of 6-7 seconds and speeds over 200 mph. It's heads-up drag racing that brings race fans back year after year.

Drivers in the Muscle Car Series are competing for series points, prize money, and ultimately, a series championship in 10 classes, including the "fast five" classes: Pro Outlaw, Outlaw, King Street, Real Street and True Street.

The drag strip will also highlight 10 Index classes, the winners of which have a separate run-off to crown the Index Class Champion. Three Strip Eliminator classes and a Truck Eliminator Class round out the race schedule. It's a full weekend of racing, with qualifying that runs Friday and Saturday, and eliminations on Sunday.

The NAPA Auto Parts Show & Go wouldn't be the same without a lot of other activities off the track. A classic car show will be on display in front of the brick condos on Saturday, with a number of judging classes available. A spectacular fireworks display Saturday night and live music completes the weekend.

On the Competition Road Course this weekend, the Central Roadracing Association brings its insane brand of Superbike Racing to the track. Watch as riders scream around the track on two wheels and a knee. It's amateur racing in a variety of classes, but you'd never know it watching these seasoned riders take on BIR's challenging and technical road course.

It's two great racing events for the price of one! And the CRA Superbike Racing goes on rain or shine, so weather won't stop the racing going on at BIR this weekend.
