Top Alcohol cars to provide the 'Thunder' for Thunder at the Lakes NHRA Divisional Race

Top Alcohol Dragsters and Funny Cars will return to Brainerd International Raceway Memorial Day weekend to provide the thunder in Thunder at the Lakes.

This is one of BIR's most exciting races of the year and is a great preview to what you can expect to see at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals Aug. 12-15. Top Alcohol cars fly down the drag strip at 280 mph, with times around 5 seconds.

Thunder at the Lakes is an NHRA Division 5 race, meaning it attracts racers from throughout the Midwest and Canada. Racers compete in Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Comp Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock Eliminator, Super Street, Super Gas, Super Comp, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster and Sportsman Motorcycle. That's a full weekend of exceptional racing!
