Congratulations to the winners of this year’s ChumpCar World Series endurance races at Brainerd International Raceway. Thirty teams entered last weekend’s races, which featured a pair of eight-hour endurance races. Saturday’s race was on BIR’s 2.5-mile Competition Road Course while Sunday’s race was on the original 3.1-mile Donnybrooke Road Course.
Saturday’s race was a dandy one, with the top three cars finishing within a lap of each other after eight grueling hours of racing. The top two finishers, Chump Faces and NineFour Motorsports, both completed 242 laps, with NineFour finishing 2 minutes behind Chump Faces.
During Sunday’s race, NineFour Motorsports again finished as runner up, this time by only 10 seconds. Dirty Side Down Racing narrowly edged out NineFour for the win after both teams completed 220 laps. NMM Motorsports was nine laps back for third place.
