The second Bracket Drag Racing Series was a huge success, as more than 400 cars competed under sunny skies. The racing was intense as drivers battle for series points and prize money. The Slowpokes Car Club was on the road course Sunday.
The NHRA’s Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series will be at BIR this weekend, giving fans a sneak preview to the type of Sportsman drag racing they can expect at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in August. On the road course is the BMW Car Club.
A rocket dragster and a rocket go-kart will be in the drag strip Friday, while the Bracket Drag Racing Series drivers test for their races Saturday and Sunday. The Slowpokes Car Club is on the road course Sunday.
The Street Car Showdown signaled the start of the three-race Muscle Car Series on the drag strip. The SCCA Harvey West Memorial Day Classic was on the road course. Most of the defending champs from last year’s drag racing series found the road to the winner’s circle a tough one.

Although Sunday’s racing was a wash-out, the drag strip and road course were busy Friday and Saturday as most Bracket Drag Racers and Superbike riders competed for the first time this season.
The Bracket Drag Racing Series kicks off its six-weekend schedule Friday, while the Central Roadracing Association brings amazing Superbike racing to BIR for the first of its five-weekend schedule. It all happens this weekend!
