BIR’s team of 40 drag racers placed third last weekend in the NHRA West Central Summit Racing ET Finals at Heartland Park in Topeka, Kan. The team was the defending champion. Brandon Schmall won the Sportsman class.

Kevin Sand won three classes last weekend at the 28th Annual GSTA Muscle Car Shootout in what could be a first in the Muscle Car Series’ eight-year history. Gary Olson was one win away of accomplishing the same thing in the series’ grand finale.

Brittany Force, Del Worsham, Drew Skillman and Andrew Hines all ended up in the Winner’s Circle at BIR Sunday after winning their classes during the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals, which saw track and world records fall.
The field is set for Sunday’s elimination rounds. Saturday’s final qualifying rounds resulted in a world-record run and a No. 1 qualifier for Matt Hagan. Antron Brown, Vincent Nobile and Angelle Sampey are also No. 1 qualifiers.
