Ray Fuchs raced his ’53 Studebaker to a Pro Outlaw win last weekend during the 8th Annual Street Car Showdown. With the Muscle Car Series on the drag strip and the SCCA Harvey West Memorial Day Classic on the road course, racers kicked off the season in grand fashion.
Sid Osterman, in his first year drag racing in the Sportsman Class, swept the weekend with two wins and a 10-race winning streak. It was the second weekend of the Bracket Drag Racing Series, which included the World Racing League on the road course.
The first major event of the year at BIR is Memorial Day weekend. The 8th Annual Street Car Showdown kicks off the three-race Muscle Car Series on the drag strip while the SCCA will be on the road course for the Harvey West Memorial Day Classic. A great way to get your summer started.

The World Racing League is at BIR this weekend for a pair of eight-hour endurance races, while the Bracket Drag Racing Series is on the drag strip for its second weekend of racing. The Slowpokes Car Clubs is on the road course Friday.
Brandon Schmall won the Super Pro and Sportsman classes last weekend during the first Bracket Drag Racing Series event of the season, and Brian Schraut scored a double win in Comp Trophy. About 430 racers competed.
The Central Roadracing Association returns to BIR this season for five weekends of amazing Superbike racing. This weekend is the first on the schedule. Daily admission is only $20 and kids 12 and under are free.
