Brainerd International Raceway announced the winners of the 2017 Bracket Drag Racing Series. The six-weekend series always produces great drag racing, and last year was no different. Congratulations to our 11 champions!
BIR owner Jed Copham will be competing in the Trans Am Series race Nov. 11 at Daytona International Speedway in Florida. He’ll be driving the same Corvette he raced in last summer during the PleasureLand RV Show & Go, where he placed fourth.
BIR will be honoring drag racers in its Bracket Drag Racing Series and Muscle Car Series on Feb. 24 at Cragun’s Resort during the annual Racer Banquet. The banquet is open to all racers, family and fans but you must register with BIR.
BIR had another great racing season, thanks in part to the dedicated and tireless work of the racing crew. They helped make BIR a safe and enjoyable place to race. Cheers to the race crew!
The final spectator event of the season was a dandy, with Bracket Drag Racers battling for series championships and Wally trophies. The World Racing League was on the road course for a pair of endurance races.

The Central Roadracing Association finished its season last weekend, with Brian Hebeisen winning the CRA Championship with an amazing weekend of racing. The finale was a 5-Hour Endurance Race. Results here.

The 29th Annual GSTA Muscle Car Shootout didn’t disappoint fans as 457 cars came out to compete on the drag strip during the finale of the Muscle Car Series. The SCCA Jack Pine Sprints was on the road course, providing thrilling wheel-to-wheel action.
Jake Schmotter was among the Superbike riders who took home wins during the Central Roadracing Association’s fourth race weekend, Aug. 25-27. The CRA has only one weekend left this season, so riders have been ratcheting up the competition.
