Bill Doolittle to be honored with tree re-dedication

Bill Doolittle, a drag racing enthusiast and track worker at BIR, passed away last month but will be honored this Saturday at the conclusion of racing when Kitty’s Tree will be re-dedicated. Everyone is welcome to attend. RIP Bill!

Pirelli debuts at BIR; field includes 3 Minnesotans

Brainerd International Raceway is hosting the Pirelli World Challenge for the first time this weekend during the Muscle Car Shootout. The race will feature three Minnesotans, including Tom Noble, who is an instructor at the BIR Performance Driving School.

NHRA postpones elimination rounds; announces changes

After rain and darkness caused the NHRA to postpone the elimination rounds Sunday during the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals, the NHRA announced where and when all the classes (except for Top Fuel Dragster) will complete their races.
