Cottage Grove man wins Yamaha Grizzly ATV

(May 20, 2009) - Tom Jacoby of Cottage Grove, Minn., arrived at Brainerd International Raceway this afternoon to pick up his new Yamaha Grizzly ATV that he won during a giveaway contest sponsored by Yamaha Motor Corporation and BIR.

Jacoby entered the online contest for the 550cc ATV at the request of his wife, Leanne. The Jacobys already own three Yamaha ATVs but the thought of a new one enticed Tom to register anyway. He's glad he did. Tom, 39, said he had never won anything before.

The giveaway contest started last summer, signaling the start of Yamaha's track sponsorship at BIR, which makes Yamaha the Official ATV and Side by Side of BIR. Eric Stockwell, Yamaha's district manager, presented the ATV to Jacoby and said the promotion was successful. Brian Van Vickle, general manager of Brothers Motorsports in Brainerd, the local Yamaha dealer, was also on hand for the presentation, as was BIR owner Jed Copham.
