All of us at Brainerd International Raceway want to thank the 200+ individuals who volunteered their time to help us clean up the track from the storm that hit us July 12. We can’t thank you enough. We always say that we have the best racers and fans in the country, because you continue to give us reasons to do so. Here’s another reason.
Because of your generosity, we didn’t need to cancel any events, except for a Wednesday Night Street Drags on July 15. We’re repairing the damage to the shop and the press box, and will figure out how to get some bleachers in here to replace the section that was destroyed. That will be done before the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals. Those who come to Nationals this year shouldn’t notice any difference, except for missing trees.
Again, thank you to everyone who helped, including Papa John’s and Fresh Start Meat Market in Pine River (the former Shamp’s Meat Market), both of which donated food for our volunteers. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
